Since then, we’ve tripled ARR each year for 3 years running and grown a high-caliber team turning the art of sales into a scalable science.\nAbout the role\nNooks is hiring a Strategic Finance professional in San Francisco to turn our financials into insights & decisions. You will own the company's KPI framework, drive unit economics, manage strategic initiatives, and partner with leaders to drive results.\nWorking directly with the VP Finance & senior leadership, you'll lead high-impact special projects across Finance, GTM efficiency, fundraising and new initiatives. This role sits adjacent to FP&A: FP&A builds the plan, and Strategic Finance works with them on execution, insights, and strategic decision making. You’ll be hands on, given significant ownership from Day 1, and be trusted to drive real change in our next phase of electric growth.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn and drive company KPIs\nOwn Nooks' KPI framework and drive insights. Flag risks early and partner with department leaders on the actions that move the number\n\nSet targets with leaders and hold a regular operating cadence (monthly business reviews) that tracks progress against plan\n\nBuild the dashboards and AI-powered workflows that give leadership a single, trusted view of the business\n\nShape business strategy\nBe a thought partner to the VP Finance and the executive team on growth strategy, capital allocation and investment trade-offs. Drive narratives.\n\nBuild unit economics by segment, customer cohort and go-to-market motion to decide where we lean in\n\nPartner with Sales, RevOps, and Marketing on quota and capacity planning, GTM efficiency, and Pipeline analysis\n\nOwn key parts of board and investor materials, and support fundraising and investor diligence\n\nWork with FP&A and Accounting so that variance analysis leads to decisions & action, not just explanations\n\nRun high-impact, cross-functional projects from 0->1, including scenario planning, commissions design, pricing economics, and other initiatives\n\nAbout you\n4-7 years in strategic finance, FP&A or corporate finance at a high-growth SaaS or AI company\n\nExpert financial modeling\n\nOutcomes-focused and a track record of driving real results. You challenge assumptions and ask why\n\nFluency in SaaS metrics and unit economics, and how they connect to the P&L and cash\n\nStrong written and oral executive and inter-department communication skills. You can drive a narrative and be a strong business partner\n\nHands-on building experience with AI tools in finance\n\nStrong Excel and Google Sheets skills.
