Leaning on more than a decade of vertical integration of quantum hardware, we are leveraging a comprehensive pool of quantum technology and micro-electronic infrastructure to deploy our quantum computing technology.\n\nOur current needs\nNord Quantique is looking for an Electrical & Electronics Technician to support the development, prototyping, integration, testing, and production of advanced quantum computing systems.\nWorking closely with engineers, scientists, and technical staff, you will contribute to the realization of electronic assemblies, electrical subsystems, and experimental hardware used throughout our research and product development activities. You will play a key role in bridging design and implementation, transforming engineering concepts into reliable and testable hardware solutions.\nThis role combines hands-on electronics work, PCB assembly, electrical integration, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and technical documentation. You will contribute throughout the complete product lifecycle, from proof-of-concept prototypes to production-ready systems.\nThe ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced R&D environment, has strong practical problem-solving abilities, and takes pride in building high-quality hardware with attention to detail.\nWorking in close collaboration with technical and management staff at Nord Quantique, the chosen candidate will:\nDesign of PCBs, including component selection, schematic drawing and PCB layout\nPerform board-level testing, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting\nAssemble, solder, inspect, and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs)\nBuild prototypes and experimental electronic assemblies for R&D projects\nFabricate wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and custom electrical interconnections\nPerform electrical wiring, panel assembly, cable routing, and system integration activities\nRead, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings\nUse laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators for testing and diagnostics\nSupport assembly and testing of complete electromechanical systems\nContribute to continuous improvement of assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes\nMaintain accurate documentation, test reports, assembly procedures, and technical records\nSupport the transition of prototypes into manufacturing and production environments\n\nEducation and experience requirements:\nRequired\nDEC, Technical Diploma, or equivalent education in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electromechanics, Instrumentation, or a related field\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in electronics assembly, electrical integration, or hardware prototyping\nExperience with PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and troubleshooting\nExperience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical drawings\n\nPreferred\nExperience in a high-tech, scientific, aerospace, robotics, or advanced R&D environment\nExperience with prototype development and low-volume manufacturing\nExperience using PCB prototyping and fabrication equipment\nExperience collaborating closely with engineering teams during product development\n\nSought expertise and knowledge:\nPCB assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and rework.\nElectrical wiring, harness fabrication, and system integration.\nPCB design tools and technical drawings (Altium; SolidWorks Electrical is an asset).\nStrong documentation, attention to detail, and practical problem-solving skills.\n\nSought profile:\nHands-on and detail-oriented\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nCreative and resourceful approach to technical challenges\nOrganized and reliable with strong attention to quality\nExcellent collaboration and communication skills\nCapable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment\nDemonstrates initiative and autonomy\nComfortable working in multidisciplinary teams\nMotivated by building innovative technologies and turning concepts into working systems\nContinuous improvement mindset\n\nNord Quantique is committed to the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion in its training, workplaces, and activities.
