In this role, you’ll help people own it.\nWe’re building a brand-new Accounting team in Warsaw, and we’re looking for an AP Accountant to help shape it from day one. You’ll own the accounts payable and statutory accounting function for our group entities across multiple jurisdictions, making sure every invoice, expense, payment and reports are accurate, timely, and compliant. Whether you’re a mid-level or senior professional, we’ll match the scope and seniority of the role to your experience.\nMain Responsibilities\nRun the full AP cycle end-to-end for the group entities across different jurisdictions: purchase invoices, employee expenses, per diems and bank postings (including matching payments to vendors).\n\nEnsure invoices are correctly received and processed through the KSeF (National e-Invoicing System) for the Polish entity, in line with local e-invoicing requirements.\n\nOwn the Group entities' expenses - review, classify, and correctly record local costs, ensuring each expense is coded to the right account, product, team, and tax treatment so that it is correct for both accounting and tax purposes.\n\nCreate and maintain vendor master records.\n\nReconcile payables - clear aging entries, resolve variances, and reconcile vendor statements.\n\nHandle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, including accruals for goods and services received but not yet invoiced.\n\nKeep expense data complete and audit-ready to support statutory and tax reporting as well as external audits across the relevant entities.\n\nCommunicate complex accounting information clearly and effectively to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.\n\nDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).\n\nIdentify process issues, drive improvements, and collaborate across teams with clear, proactive communication.\n\nPrioritize independently, keeping both high-impact and ad-hoc work on track.\n\nIf you join us at senior level, you'll also:\nPrepare the Polish entity's local statutory (Polish GAAP) financial statements and own the statutory audit end-to-end - acting as the main point of contact for external auditors, preparing supporting schedules and disclosures, and resolving audit queries.
