We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated AI & Analytics Engineer to build advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions that improve operational decision-making, service reliability, and strategic change across Nordea. This is a maternity cover for EOY 2027, full-time employment agreement based in Gdańsk with a hybrid working model.

About our team
Meet the Insights Analytics & Engineering team - a group of 20+ skilled and collaborative professionals working in an Agile setup as part of Technology Services & Operations. Our role is to deliver digital solutions that enable better decision-making, operational stability, and performance across Nordea's technology and business operations.
Main responsibilities in this role:
Build AI and business intelligence analytics solutions (including Agentic & Generative AI) using Microsoft Fabric, Copilot Studio, Dataverse, Snowflake, and Power Platform
Design and develop dashboards, AI agents, and decision intelligence solutions that transform complex data into actionable insights for business and technology stakeholders
Improve IT operational performance, transparency, and data-driven decision-making by analyzing and modeling data to identify trends, opportunities, and recommendations
Partner with stakeholders across Nordea to drive strategic technology initiatives and contribute to the future of analytics and AI
Enhance, optimize, and troubleshoot existing analytics, reporting, and AI solutions to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance in an Agile (SAFe) environment
Who you are
This is the right role for you if you have a strong analytical and data-driven mindset, enjoy solving complex problems and turning data into practical outcomes, and are curious about AI, analytics, and how technology can improve operations. You understand data foundations, dependencies, and data quality. You are a strong team player who enjoys collaboration and knowledge sharing, communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and take ownership by challenging the status quo and looking for smarter ways of working.
Your background and skills include:
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI and/or Microsoft Fabric
Proficiency in SQL (preferably T-SQL), data modeling, and DAX
Experience working with data platforms such as MS SQL Server, Snowflake, Dataverse, or similar
Experience building or contributing to AI-enabled solutions, for example using Copilot Studio, Snowflake Cortex, or similar AI platforms
Experience designing analytical products, dashboards, reports, and decision-support solutions
Experience working in Agile environments, preferably Scrum or SAFe
Excellent written and spoken English skills, at minimum C1 level
A Master's degree in Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role
It would be ideal if you also:
Hold a Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification, such as PL-300, or higher
