We deliver this mandate by constructively challenging and supporting risk decisions, controls and risk management practices in technology.\nAbout our team\nMeet the Business Continuity Oversight and Technology Resilience Oversight teams. We are part of Nordea’s second line of defence (2LoD) in Chief Security Office (CSO). We provide independent oversight and advice across business continuity and crisis management (BCCM), and technology resilience and risk management.\nOur teams consist of passionate experts located in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Warsaw. We are a dynamic and talented group driving pragmatic, technically informed and risk-focused oversight, contributing to the operational resilience of the bank. These are the values that guide us in how we work and how we make decisions - and that we imagine you share with us.\nWhat you’ll be doing\nMain responsibilities in this role:\nSupport the analysis of technology risks, control weaknesses, and the root causes of past incidents.\nContribute to oversight activities covering business continuity, technology resilience, governance and risks.\nUse data, AI and analytical tools to identify patterns, summarise complex information and improve the quality and efficiency of risk analysis.\nHelp assess whether technology and BCCM controls are appropriately designed and operating as intended.\nMonitor risk mitigation activities.\nResearch emerging technologies, evolving risk practices and relevant regulatory developments.\nWork with experienced risk experts and technology specialists to develop practical recommendations.\nPrepare clear analysis and communication for stakeholders across Nordea’s Business Areas and Group Functions.\nContribute ideas and experiments that improve how we perform risk oversight, including responsible and transparent uses of AI.\nWho you are\nThis is the right role for you if you:\nAre curious, proactive and motivated to understand how complex technologies and organisations work.\nEnjoy investigating problems, asking thoughtful questions and looking beyond the obvious answer.\nHave strong analytical skills and can structure complex or incomplete information.\nAre interested in the different ways technology, processes and controls can fail.\nAre comfortable experimenting with AI and new tools while critically reviewing and validating their outputs.\nWant to build a career combining technology, data and risk management.\nAre a collaborative team player who takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.\nYour background and skills include:\nA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, information systems, technology, engineering or another relevant field, or equivalent relevant work experience.\nUnderstanding of how modern IT systems and services are designed, developed, changed and operated.\nExperience using AI, generative AI, data analysis, automation or programming tools through studies, projects or professional work.\nAbility to analyse information from multiple sources, identify patterns and communicate clear conclusions.\nInterest in technology resilience and reliability topics such as system dependencies, redundancy, backups, recovery, failover, monitoring or incident management.\nAn understanding of software development, IT architecture, cloud services, data platforms or IT service management.\nInterest in learning technology and operational risk management frameworks, business continuity and IT continuity.\nAbility to communicate technical topics clearly to people with different levels of technical knowledge.\nA proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage several tasks and ask for support when needed.\nInterest in the financial sector and its regulatory environment.\nEnglish spoken and written at an advanced level.\nIt would be ideal if you also have:\nGood interpersonal skills and an ability to build trusted working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.\nTechnical understanding of IT systems, software, data, cloud technology, architecture or IT operations.\nAn interest in business continuity, technology resilience, reliability and technology risk governance.\nA responsible approach to working with AI, including awareness of data quality, limitations, traceability and the importance of human judgement.\nA growth mindset and willingness to learn from feedback, colleagues and practical experience.\nWhat we offer\nPeople come here when they want to get somewhere.
