The role involves final blade inspections, in-process quality control, non-conformance management, quality documentation, supplier support, audit participation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing performance.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFinal Product Inspection & Acceptance\n\nPerform final inspection and acceptance of finished rotor blades in accordance with Nordex specifications, drawings, and quality standards.\nVerify dimensional accuracy, structural integrity, paint quality, and surface finish against acceptance criteria.\nConduct customer witness inspections and support product release activities.\nIdentify, document, and disposition quality defects prior to shipment.\n\nIn-Process Quality Control\n\nMonitor and support in-process quality inspections throughout blade manufacturing.\nEnsure adherence to manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.\nDetect process deviations and non-conformities and drive corrective and preventive actions.\nSupport process validation and set approval activities to ensure quality compliance.\n\nNon-Conformance & Quality Issue Management\n\nHandle Incoming Non-Conformance Cases (INC) through the ServiceNow (SNOW) portal.\nInvestigate quality concerns and facilitate root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.\nCoordinate with production, engineering, and supplier teams for timely resolution and closure of quality issues.\nSupport implementation and effectiveness verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).\n\nSupplier & Production Quality Support\n\nCollaborate with blade suppliers and internal manufacturing plants to improve product quality and productivity.\nProvide technical guidance on quality requirements and inspection standards.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at defect reduction and process optimization.\n\nAudits & Customer Interface\n\nParticipate in internal, supplier, and external quality audits as a Nordex representative.\nSupport customer audits, inspections, and quality review meetings.\nAddress customer quality concerns and ensure timely closure of audit observations.\nMaintain professional customer relationships while ensuring quality compliance.\n\nReporting & Documentation\n\nPrepare, review, and maintain quality records, inspection reports, and manufacturing documentation.\nGenerate inspection summaries, customer inspection closure reports, and quality performance dashboards.\nEnsure complete traceability of products, inspections, and quality records.\nAnalyze quality trends and prepare management reports using quality metrics and KPIs.\n\nLeadership & Coordination\n\nPlan and coordinate inspection activities to support production schedules and delivery commitments.\nManage inspection priorities and resource allocation effectively.\nEscalate critical quality issues and support decision-making during production and customer inspections.\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to resolve quality concerns within defined timelines.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nInspection & Quality Assurance\n\nStrong understanding of rotor blade drawings, manufacturing specifications, and quality standards.\nExpertise in final blade inspection and acceptance criteria.\nKnowledge of composite manufacturing processes and defect identification.\nPaint and surface finish quality evaluation.\nPreparation of inspection reports and quality documentation.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Composite Engineering, or related discipline.\n4–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Manufacturing Quality, preferably within Wind Energy, Composite Manufacturing, Aerospace, Automotive, or Heavy Engineering industries.\nHands-on experience in rotor blade manufacturing and final blade inspection will be preferred.\n\nNordex adheres to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
