You will find Nordson employees sharing our success by giving back in the communities around the world where we live and work.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nDesign, build, own and continuously improve Power BI dashboards, Power Query solutions, and automated reporting using financial and operational data from the ERP and other sources.\nIdentify manual, fragmented or inefficient finance and operational processes and develop standardized, scalable and automated solutions that improve accuracy and efficiency.\nSupport analytical and systems related projects from initial problem definition through implementation, including gathering requirements from stakeholders across sites and functions.\nWork effectively in ambiguous environments, identifying gaps, and driving projects toward practical solutions.\nPartner closely with ERP Business Analysts to translate finance and operational data and ensure downstream reporting and analytics are accurate and reliable\nImprove data integrity by identifying discrepancies and control gaps, investigating root causes and partnering with appropriate teams to implement solutions.\nBuild and maintain reporting and analytics for manufacturing spend, inventory, costing, variances, profitability and other key operational finance metrics.\nAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends, cost drivers, risks and improvement opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations for business leaders.\nDevelop visibility into slow moving, excess and obsolete inventory and partner with Procurement, Operations and site teams to support inventory optimization and working capital.\nDrive standardization of reporting definitions, processes and data structures across sites to improve consistency\nDevelop strong expertise in ERP costing, inventory, and operational data, including how manufacturing activity flows through the P&L and Balance Sheet and serve as a key Operations Finance resource on these topics.\nCreate documentation, tools and training that enable the Finance and Operations teams to more effectively use ERP data while improving data integrity and efficiency.\nChallenge existing processes and reporting with a focus on eliminating unnecessary work, enhancing data visibility and accuracy while increasing automation and improving the quality and speed of decision making.\nEducation & Experience:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics or a related field\n3+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, operations finance, manufacturing finance or related analytical role.\nExperience analyzing financial and operational results, identifying trends and variances and translating findings into actionable insights\nPower BI and Power Query experience, including building reports and analytics from ERP or other business data.\nExperience leading projects or process improvements and working cross functionally to develop and implement solutions.\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nStrong financial acumen with the ability to understand how operational activity impacts financial results.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated curiosity, initiative and comfort to navigate ambiguity\nStrong Power BI, Power Query, Excel and data analytics capabilities\nExperience with ERP systems, manufacturing operations, standard costing, and inventory data.\nStrong project management, organization, and prioritization skills with demonstrated initiative and ownership\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate between financial, operational, and technical stakeholders.\nAbility to simplify complex processes, challenge existing practices, and drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement.\nNordson Corporation provides equal employment opportunity to all applicants and employees.
