This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing total cost of ownership, negotiating pricing, and building effective supplier partnerships to meet customer needs, quality standards, and cost targets\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nManage procurement activities for assigned materials, commodities, or product lines to support production and business requirements.\nMaintain accurate material master data, purchasing records, and supplier information in applicable systems.\nNegotiate pricing, lead times, and supply terms to support cost, quality, and delivery objectives.\nMonitor supplier performance and drive improvements in on-time delivery, quality, and responsiveness.\nSupport cost reduction and sourcing initiatives in alignment with commodity strategies and operational goals.\nManage scheduling agreements, vendor-managed inventory programs, and material availability to minimize supply risk.\nBuild and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and service excellence.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\n Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or materials management is required.\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nStrong negotiation, planning, and analytical skills.\nWorking knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and cost improvement initiatives.\nAbility to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and product specifications.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nEffective problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely, sound decisions.\nStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across functions and with suppliers.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.\nLean manufacturing experience or exposure is a plus.\n\nWorking Environment and Physical Demands\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
