We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.\nSummary of the role\nAs a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.\nJob Description\nUnder general supervision, this position assists the production supervisor in the administration and coordination of effective, efficient, and high-quality production related activities.\nShift: M_F 3:00pm 11:30pm\nDemonstrate and promote the Nordson safety culture of “Journey to Zero” and that all accidents are preventable.\nAssist assigned Shift Supervisor in determining daily production needs and assign to Production Associates accordingly.\nDetermine proper priorities and coordinate movement of component parts appropriately.\nLead Production Associates on team in working safely and efficiently to meet all production work requirements assigned by following operating procedures and work instructions.\nTrain, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner to meet production demands.\nOperate necessary equipment to meet required Production schedules.\nWork with other production areas, as necessary, to resolve quality problems.\nMay perform equipment set-up, calibration, and routine preventative maintenance tasks.\nContribute to success of team by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on new methods or method changes and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with orders.\nWilling to cross train in other areas and perform in those areas as needed.\nPractice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.\nOther related duties depending on business needs.\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nSome mechanical capability & computer skills required. SAP experience preferred.\nDetail-oriented, self-starter with a passion to deliver excellence is essential\nTeam player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn\nAbility to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to this position and safety required\nHigh school diploma or GED\n5 or more years of experience with operating production/machining equipment.\n5 or more years of set-up experience.\nAbility to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.\nBasic computer navigation skills.\nCNC lathe and milling experience\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nMulti axis CNC lathe experience highly preferred.\nCompleted trade school or an apprenticeship in machining\nCNC lathe and milling experience\nMulti axis CNC lathe experience highly preferred.\nCompleted trade school or an apprenticeship in machining\nAbility to make & repair tools.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands\nManufacturing environment.
