This role applies sound electrical engineering principles to new product development and existing product improvements, while supporting cost optimization, design standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nDesign and develop electrical systems, including technical analysis, component selection, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.\nCreate and maintain electrical schematics, PCB layouts, wiring lists, and bills of materials; experience with Altium is preferred.\nSupport existing product lines by evaluating performance, resolving technical issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and reliability.\nEnsure electrical designs meet applicable safety, reliability, sustainability, and manufacturability requirements.\nPartner with cross-functional teams to implement product enhancements that address customer, market, and business needs.\nContribute technical ideas and solutions that support research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution required.\nMinimum of two (2) years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; research and development experience is preferred.\n\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nExperience with electronic circuit schematic capture, simulation tools, and PCB layout software.\nHands-on experience with prototyping, soldering, SMT components, and through-hole components.\nWorking knowledge of AC/DC power electronics and serial communication protocols.\nAbility to evaluate and select appropriate electrical components, discrete components, and integrated hardware modules.\nExperience with C, C++, Linux, and MicroC/OS is preferred.\nStrong organizational, communication, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.\nExperience with Stage-Gate or similar new product development processes.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and milestones while maintaining a high standard of quality.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands\nProduction environment.
