Responsible for designing, testing, and implementing production methodology for new products. Responsible for providing design input to ensure manufacturing success of new products. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nCoordinates subsystems and integration of total system and tooling. \nIdentifies, analyzes and resolves program and production support deficiencies; Develops, recommends, and implements corrective actions and tracks progress of corrective actions as key inputs to program progress and/or production health. \nMay conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs. \nRuns Pilot production activities.\nPlans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation or modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria, including production escalations. \nExercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. \nDevises new approaches to problems encountered. \nMay direct support personnel in preparation of detailed design, design testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing. \nSelects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. \nMay review vendor capability to support development.\nOther duties may be assigned as required.\nEducation and Experience\nRequires a BS Mechanical Engineering degree\n2-4 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience.\nSkills and Abilities\nSolidworks proficiency\nFamiliar with ASME Y14.5M drawing standards\nExperience with a variety of metal fabrication methods, including Sheet Metal, Welding, Machining, and Plating.\nAbility to interface with a wide variety of personnel in group and one-on-one settings\nStrong teamwork and collaborative skills\nExperience with Lean\nManufacturing in an OEM/Capital Equipment production environment preferred\nProficient or advanced in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio\nProject Management\nUnderstanding of RoHS and REACH compliance \nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills\nHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skills\nAbility to execute in a fast paced and dynamic environment\nWorking Environment and Physical Demands\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
