In this role, you will assist the Production Supervisor in the administration and coordination of effective, efficient, and high-quality production related activities.\nHow You Will Make an Impact:\nDemonstrate and promote the Nordson safety culture of “Journey to Zero” and that all accidents are preventable.\nAssist assigned Shift Supervisor in determining daily production needs and assign to Production Associates accordingly.\nDetermine proper priorities and coordinate movement of component parts appropriately.\nSet up assembly jobs and perform line clearances.\nLead Production Associates on team in working safely and efficiently to meet all production work requirements assigned by following operating procedures and work instructions.\nTrain, instruct, and supervise employees using established production methods to produce a quality product in a safe and timely manner to meet production demands.\nServe as backup to Group Leader, as needed.\nTrack and communicate daily goals.\nOperate necessary equipment to meet required Production schedules.\nWork with other production areas, as necessary, to resolve quality problems.\nMay perform equipment set-up, calibration, and routine preventative maintenance tasks.\nContribute to success of team by submitting improvement ideas, identifying potential problems, providing feedback on new methods or method changes and by displaying a positive, cooperative attitude in working with orders.\nWilling to cross train in other areas and perform in those areas as needed.\nPractice good housekeeping and appropriate measures to prevent pollution or other negative impacts on the environment.\nOther related duties depending on business needs.\nWhat We Offer:\nStarting day 1, your benefits include:Medical / Dental / Vision\nPaid Time Off (including annual company shutdown between Christmas and New Year’s)\nAnnual bonus based on personal & company performance.\n401k (with match AND additional 3% annual company contribution)\nHealth Savings Accounts (with employer contribution)\nTuition reimbursement\nCompany paid Life Insurance\nWellbeing programs to help you live a healthy happy lifestyle.\n\nShift Available:\n2nd Shift: Mon-Fri, 3:00pm -11:00pm (Shift premium available)\nQualifications to be successful:\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.\n2 + years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.\nPrior experience using scales preferred.\nSome mechanical capability & computer skills required.
