We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.\nSummary of the role\nAs a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.\nJob Summary\nWe’re looking for a hands-on Senior Engineering Technician who thrives on solving problems, improving processes, and working directly on the production floor.\nIn this role, you’ll partner closely with engineering and operations to troubleshoot equipment, support new product introductions, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot and resolve equipment, tooling, and process issues\nSupport engineering activities including testing, checkout, and prototype builds\nPerform testing and fault isolation using schematics and diagrams\nSupport equipment builds, installations, and qualifications\nIdentify inefficiencies and implement process improvements\nAssist with process development and new product introduction\nCollect and analyze process and test data\nMaintain preventative maintenance programs\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives (lean, yield, quality)\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nAssociate’s degree preferred\n2-4 years of technician or related experience\nStrong troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems\nAbility to read schematics and technical documentation\nExperience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, diagnostic tools)\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nBackground in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement\nFamiliarity with data analysis tools or MES systems\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands\nManufacturing environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.\nCompensation\nBase Hourly Range for this position is: $29 to $40 per hour, and bonus target is _%; shift premium may be available depending on shift associated with the specific job opportunity. In addition to Paid Time Off and paid Holidays, each employee receives 16 hours paid time each calendar year to perform volunteer services for Nordson-sponsored events.
