Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.\nEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities\nActively own, execute, and engage in software engineering activities including requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, release, documentation, process development and improvement, architectural assessment, issue investigation, and technical escalations.\nLead task teams as needed,\nMentor less experienced team members.\nMay conduct feasibility studies on new and modified designs.\nMay visit and interface with customers, to assess issues, resolve technical problems, and help develop user and system requirements.\nIndependently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making adaptations and modifications. \nPerforms work which involves conventional types of plans, investigation, surveys, structures or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.\nOther duties may be assigned as required.\nEducation and Experience Requirements\nRequires a BS degree in Computer Science and 7-10 years of experience or equivalent relevant experience with working knowledge of software capabilities. \nExpert knowledge of C#/.Net, developing applications for MS Windows desktop environment.\nWPF desirable\nExperience working with motion systems\nHardware control and interface\nPreferred Skills and Abilities\nAdvanced mathematics, especially linear algebra.\nKnowledge of vision libraries, C++, and Python a plus.\nRobotics and AI application experiences preferred.\nWorking Conditions and Physical Demands\nOffice environment.
