This position will work closely with the Software Engineering, Firmware, Electrical, and Operations teams to develop new products, calibrate / certify products, maintain existing product lines, and continuously improve relevant code bases.\nThe intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced new product development and manufacturing environment and meaningfully contribute to projects that directly impact operational performance and business objectives.\nKey Responsibilities and Essential Functions:\nParticipate in the new product development process.\nWork with firmware engineers to communicate with embedded devices.\nWork with systems engineers to calibrate and certify new and existing products.\nWork with internal customers to resolve bugs on new and existing products.\nWrite unit tests and stress tests for validation of software performance.\nAssist in testing software releases for other members of the team.\nAssists in collecting and processing data for our algorithm team.\nParticipate in software process improvement team.\nProvides recommendations for user interface improvements.\nPerform additional software and engineering support activities as assigned.\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to organize and analyze data and communicate findings effectively.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.\nFamiliarity with C#, c++/CLI, native c++, CUDA, Azure Devops, and / or Visual Studio is preferred.\nExperience in Matlab or Python programming is preferred.\nExperience with user interface design with Winforms and WPF is preferred.\nWhat You’ll Gain\nReal world experience developing new products in a fast-paced environment while supporting existing products and production lines.Hands-on experience supporting software engineering operations in a global technology company.Exposure to production processes, manufacturing engineering practices, and operational improvement initiatives.Opportunity to lead and contribute to projects that deliver measurable business results.Mentorship from experienced Software Engineers.Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across Operations, Electrical, Firmware, and Systems Engineering.Practical knowledge that supports academic studies and prepares you for a career in Software development.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
