We look for practical, hands-on experience, not theoretical familiarity.\nThis Role\nAs an associate in our Technology Transactions group, you will work on high-impact IP and tech-focused deals - including standalone technology transactions and the IP/tech aspects of M&A, Private Equity and ECVC transactions - while using cutting-edge AI agents to streamline the drafting, diligence and execution processes. You will collaborate closely with partners, clients and technology teams to help Norm reimagine and transform the way lawyers work and provide legal services to the world’s leading institutions.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDocument Drafting & Review: Leverage AI agents to generate, compare, and revise technology and IP transaction documents.\n\nDue Diligence: Use AI tools to conduct rapid document reviews, identify key terms in documents, and generate client-facing diligence memos focused on IP and tech diligence.\n\nDeal Execution: Integrate AI agents into workflow management, signing and closing checklists, and coordination with counterparties.\n\nClient Advisory: Partner with clients to demonstrate how AI-assisted workflows improve accuracy, transparency, and deal velocity.\n\nCollaboration with Tech: Work closely with the technology teams to continue to make the deal process even more efficient using AI.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nCore Qualifications\nJuris Doctor (JD), or equivalent; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.\n\n4+ years of law firm experience in Technology Transactions and/or IP Transactions, as your primary practice.\n\nSubstantive hands-on record drafting and negotiating technology and IP agreements, with the depth that comes from doing this work at volume.\n\nExperience supporting the IP and Tech workstreams of M&A and private equity transactions.\n\nStrong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail; and the ability to move matters forward.\n\nNo prior AI experience required.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\n30 Days: Learn the firm's AI platforms, take an active role advising clients on matters and workflows.\n\n60 Days: Independently use AI agents to support your practice, including to review and generate transaction documentation and negotiations.\n\n90 Days: Lead AI-augmented workstreams in live transactions, applying concentrated, focused legal judgment and skills using Norm Ai technology to capture and enhance quality, speed, and client service.\n\nCompensation and Benefits\nBase salary: $270,000 to $410,000 per year\nThe range displayed in this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salary for this position.
