We foster your talent, with us you shine.\nPosition- Sr. Engineer Demand Planning\nDesignation: Demand Planner & Store In-Charge\nDepartment: Service / Parts & Aftermarket\nLocation: Project / Site- Khetri\nIndustry: Mining & Underground Equipment\nReporting To: Service Manager / Project Manager\nJob Purpose\nThe Demand Planner & Store In-Charge will be responsible for material demand planning, inventory management, spare-parts availability, site-store operations, and coordination with the central warehouse, suppliers, and project/service teams.\nThe position will ensure optimum inventory levels, timely availability of critical spare parts, proper material accounting, and efficient site-store operations to support equipment uptime and service-contract commitments.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Demand Planning & Material Forecasting\nPrepare monthly and quarterly spare-parts demand forecasts based on equipment population, machine hours, consumption history, maintenance schedules and upcoming service requirements.\nAnalyse historical consumption and identify fast-moving, slow-moving and critical spare parts.\nPrepare material requirements for planned and preventive maintenance.\nCoordinate with Service Engineers and Site Managers to understand upcoming material requirements.\nMonitor pending orders and ensure timely replenishment of critical items.\nMaintain optimum stock levels while avoiding excess and obsolete inventory.\n2. Inventory & Store Management\nTake complete responsibility for site-store operations and inventory accuracy.\nMaintain proper receipt, issue, transfer and return of materials.\nEnsure all materials are properly identified, stored and preserved.\nConduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile differences with system stock.\nMaintain minimum/maximum stock levels for critical parts.\nMonitor slow-moving, non-moving and excess inventory and initiate corrective actions.\nEnsure proper storage of high-value and critical components.\n3. ERP / Project Module & Transaction Management\nEnsure timely and accurate posting of GRN, material issues, transfers, returns and other inventory transactions in the ERP/project system.\nMaintain data on regular basis in SmartCare\nMaintain records in S365/ERP for inventory transaction\nMaintain proper documentation for all material movements.\nCoordinate with Finance/Commercial teams for material reconciliation and invoicing requirements.\nMonitor open material transactions and ensure timely closure.\n4. Service Contract Support\nSupport service contracts by ensuring required spare parts and consumables are available at site.\nCoordinate material planning for preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and major overhauls/rebuilds.\nTrack equipment running hours and maintenance schedules to anticipate future requirements.\nWork closely with Service Engineers to reduce equipment downtime caused by material shortages.\n5. Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination\nRaise material requisitions based on approved demand and stock requirements.\nCoordinate with Central Warehouse, Procurement, Suppliers and Logistics teams for timely delivery.\nFollow up on backorders and delayed materials.\nHighlight critical shortages and supply risks to management in advance.\nSupport emergency procurement requirements during breakdown situations.\n6. Commercial & Invoicing Support\nProvide material consumption and issue data for customer billing and service-contract invoicing.\nEnsure material consumption is correctly mapped against the relevant machine/project/site.\nSupport reconciliation of customer-provided, Normet-owned and consumable materials.\nMaintain records required for customer audits and commercial reviews.\n7. Reporting & MIS\nPrepare and submit regular reports covering:\nInventory status and stock value\nCritical/shortage items\nConsumption trend\nPending purchase orders\nSlow/non-moving inventory\nMaterial ageing\nMonthly demand forecast\nMaterial availability for upcoming maintenance\nStock variance and reconciliation\nService-contract material consumption\nFleet performance related KPIs\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nInventory accuracy: ≥98-100%\nCritical spare availability\nReduction in equipment downtime due to material shortage\nForecast accuracy\nReduction of excess and obsolete inventory\nTimely GRN/material issue/return transactions\nTimely completion of physical stock reconciliation\nReduction in emergency procurement\nTimely support for service-contract invoicing\nCompliance with company store and inventory procedures\nRequired Qualification & Experience\nDiploma / Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Management, Inventory management\n5-10 years of experience in demand planning, spare-parts management, stores or inventory management.\nExperience in mining, tunnelling, construction equipment or heavy machinery will be preferred.\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP / Microsoft Dynamics / S365 or similar.\nGood knowledge of spare-parts identification, inventory control and material planning.\nRequired
