You'll design agentic workflows that connect AI to the client's data and tools through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), and you'll make sure they hold up in production: secure, tested, monitored, and easy for other teams to reuse. \nThis is a self-directed role. You'll work closely with domain experts and product managers, help shape technical direction across teams, and mentor other engineers along the way. \nWhat you’ll do \nDesign and build secure enterprise applications with React, TypeScript, Python, and API services. \nBuild agentic workflows and MCP integrations that connect AI applications to enterprise data and tools. \nImplement structured outputs, workflow state management, human approval steps, and error recovery. \nBuild authentication, authorization, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit logging. \nSet up AI evaluation, guardrails, tracing, and monitoring to track quality, safety, performance, and cost. \nWork with domain experts and product managers to turn requirements into solutions that scale. \nDesign reusable, configuration-driven components that other teams can pick up and use. \nOwn your code in production, including tests and documentation. \nMentor other engineers and help guide technical direction across teams. \nTake part in Nortal's Technical Interviewer Program, conducting technical interviews for your account and other accounts to help build the teams behind Nortal's growth. \nWhat makes you a great fit \nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field. \nFive or more years of software development experience, including five or more years with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages. \nStrong skills in React, API development, application architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD. \nHands-on experience building AI-assisted applications, agentic workflows, or tool-calling solutions. \nExperience with MCP, structured outputs, context management, or comparable frameworks. \nExperience with authentication, authorization, RBAC, and secure coding practices. \nFull lifecycle experience, from requirements and architecture to deployment and production support. \nBonus if you've worked with Databricks, Unity Catalog, or data lakes; GitLab CI/CD; policy-as-code or infrastructure-as-code; data marketplaces, governance platforms, or internal developer platforms; or privacy, security, and AI governance controls in regulated environments. \nAdvanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients.
