In this role, you will collaborate closely with both our customers and internal development teams, focusing on understanding business needs through active stakeholder discussions and shaping them into high-value solution opportunities. You play a key role in engaging with stakeholders, gathering and refining requirements, demonstrating solutions, and proactively identifying how we can best support business goals.\nWhat you will do\nSupport customers in their digital transformation across areas such as data modelling and architecture, system integrations, platform modernization, and AI-driven solutions.\nEngage in regular discussions with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.\nTranslate high-level architectural directions into more concrete guidance for our development teams’ architects and product owners.\nTranslate the customer roadmap items into a backlog with sufficient accuracy to be further processed by our development team architects and product owners.\nProduce documentation, technical diagrams, architectural notes, and decision records.\nWork closely with development team’s architects to clarify technical implications, even if you don’t write code yourself.\nCollaborate closely with Nortal colleagues, including development, project management, and data/architecture experts. \nOur tech environment In this role you don’t need to program hands-on, but a background as a software engineer is essential. Technologies in use include GCP, C#, React, Docker, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and Pub/Sub. Nortal is also actively utilizing advanced agentic AI methodologies and tools such as Spec-Driven Development and Claude Code. Understanding Domain-Driven Design is also needed to successfully fulfill the role.\nWhat will help you to succeed\nAbility to understand business needs and ways of working, enabling smooth collaboration.\nSolid technical understanding and ability to discuss architectural-level topics such as software and data architectures, integrations, and AI.\nA background in software development (hands-on coding experience at some stage).\nOwnership mindset and ability to drive initiatives forward.\nConsultant-like approach: proactive, solution-oriented, comfortable in the client interface, willingness to ask questions.\nExcellent communication skills in Finnish and English. \nIf you’re not yet familiar with Nortal, we are a global leader in strategic change and technology.
