If you like working with teammates who are straightforward and accountable, you’ll feel at home.\nSummary\nThe Lab Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations, scheduling, and coordination of Nortek Data Center Cooling's testing facility in Oklahoma City. This role serves as a key liaison between engineering teams, laboratory personnel, facilities resources, contractors, and external vendors to ensure testing activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project priorities.\nThe Lab Coordinator supports laboratory readiness, scheduling, equipment maintenance tracking, contractor coordination, shipping and receiving activities, documentation management, and overall operational support of testing programs. This position works closely with engineering and laboratory teams to help ensure facility resources, equipment, materials, and support services are available to enable successful execution of laboratory testing activities.\nThis role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.\nJob Responsibilities\nLaboratory Operations & Facility Coordination\nCoordinate daily laboratory operations and support readiness of test areas, support systems, and laboratory infrastructure\nAssist with facility maintenance activities and repairs to minimize disruption to testing operations\nMaintain laboratory organization, housekeeping standards, and storage areas\nSupport laboratory improvement projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades\nServe as a point of contact for facility-related issues and operational support requests\nLaboratory Scheduling & Resource Coordination\nMaintain and update the laboratory master schedule\nCoordinate testing priorities with engineering, product development, service, and program teams\nAssist with balancing laboratory capacity, equipment availability, and project timelines\nCommunicate scheduling updates, resource constraints, and potential conflicts to stakeholders\nSupport test setup coordination and resource allocation activities\nProject & Event Coordination\nCoordinate laboratory activities related to customer visits, demonstrations, audits, and validation testing programs\nAssist in tracking project milestones and laboratory support activities\nHelp ensure stakeholders are informed regarding test schedules, equipment readiness, and facility requirements\nTrack action items and support completion of operational tasks tied to laboratory objectives\nContractor & Vendor Coordination\nCoordinate contractor activities related to maintenance, calibration, facility improvements, and equipment installations\nAssist with obtaining quotations, scheduling work, and tracking project progress\nEnsure contractor activities comply with facility safety requirements and operational procedures\nInterface with equipment suppliers, calibration providers, and service partners as needed\nEquipment Maintenance & Calibration Support\nMaintain equipment maintenance schedules and calibration records\nCoordinate preventive maintenance activities and service visits\nTrack equipment availability, downtime, and service status\nWork with engineering and laboratory personnel to support equipment repair and upgrade efforts\nAssist with laboratory asset tracking and inventory management\nShipping, Receiving & Material Coordination\nCoordinate shipment and receipt of test samples, components, and laboratory equipment\nSupport incoming and outgoing freight activities\nMaintain documentation, tracking records, and storage of laboratory materials\nAssist with logistics coordination for customer and supplier-provided equipment\nDocumentation & Process Support\nMaintain laboratory procedures, work instructions, forms, and records\nSupport document control and audit-readiness activities\nAssist in tracking laboratory metrics including utilization, equipment availability, and operational performance\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement efforts\nSafety & Compliance\nPromote a strong culture of safety within laboratory operations\nSupport safety inspections, corrective action activities, and facility audits\nAssist with hazard assessments and laboratory compliance initiatives\nHelp ensure laboratory operations align with company, regulatory, and quality requirements\nQualifications\nRequired\nAssociate degree or equivalent experience in engineering technology, technical operations, facilities coordination, project coordination, or a related field\nExperience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, engineering, testing, or technical environment\nStrong organizational, scheduling, and coordination skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business systems\nAbility to work independently and proactively solve problems\nPreferred\nExperience supporting laboratory or technical facility operations\nExperience coordinating contractors, vendors, or maintenance activities\nFamiliarity with equipment maintenance and calibration programs\nExperience in HVAC, thermal testing, product development, manufacturing, or engineering environments\nKnowledge of quality systems, documentation practices, and audit requirements\nExperience supporting facility improvement
