This position may serve as a launching pad to graduate and professional (e.g. medical school) studies\nMinimum Qualifications:\nExperience conducting human subjects research\nCollecting and organizing data, conducting statistical analyses, and coding in computer languages (SPSS, R, etc.)\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office suite and research databases such as RedCap.\nHave excellent oral and written communication skills.\nHighly organized and dependable.\nHave an ability to work and troubleshoot independently and in a team environment.\nKnowledge and skills are normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS in a Health-related field) and at least one year\nexperience in a lab environment.\nA master's degree (MA/MS) is desirable but not required.\nA yoga teacher training certification is desirable but not required. \nKey Responsibilities & Accountabilities:\nResearch activities (60%):\nComposing and modifying review board protocols.\nDeveloping and posting advertisements (flyers, writing ads) for research participant recruitment.\nContacting, screening, and scheduling potential research participants.\nMaintaining a secure recruitment database (RedCap, etc.).\nConducting research study visits.\nComputer coding tasks and analyses (R, MatLab, Python, etc.).\nLiterature review and scientific products.\nOutreach and education (40%):\nDeveloping relationships within the greater Boston communit to recruit participants.\nDeveloping outreach activities and workshops to recruit study participants.\nExplaining complex scientific constructs to relevant audiences.\nSummarizing empirical research papers for the public for online publication (e.g., blog posts\n, newsletters).\nLeveraging social media for the lab projects and dissemination.\nDesign and lead group discussion and physical activity classes for participants to build community\nPosition Type\nResearchAdditional Information\nNortheastern University considers factors such as candidate work experience, education and skills when extending an offer.\nNortheastern has a comprehensive benefits package for benefit eligible employees.
