This role requires a dynamic professional with at least 5 years of experience who can serve as the data subject matter expert (SME) within a cross-functional Scrum team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving complex data analysis projects, supporting data mapping, validation and analytics.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead data analysis and reporting initiatives to deliver actionable insights for asset management operations.\nDrive with sourcing on new datasets, functional design & mapping, data modeling to support consumption needs, data validation and quality management\nDemonstrate advanced competence in database systems, including SQL and Power BI.\nApply strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to address business challenges.\nAct as the primary data SME within a Scrum team, collaborating with stakeholders and facilitating discussions to reach decisions.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships within the team and across departments.\nDeliver high-quality work products requiring minimal revision and ensure significant financial, client, and internal business impact.\nProvide mentorship and guidance to less experienced team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.\nParticipate in business stakeholder meetings and interact with Senior Management, presenting data-driven recommendations.\nTechnical Requirements:\n\nProficiency in Asset Management data including AUM & Flows, Performance & Attribution, Fees, Benchmark and Securities, Account onboarding, ESG etc.\nProficiency in relational database concepts, querying, and data warehouse management.\nHands-on experience with analytics tools such as Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite, QlikView, or similar.\nAbility to manipulate and analyze large datasets, translating findings into clear, actionable insights.\nExperience in requirements gathering and using decision support tools.\nHands on SQL and Python knowledge\nQualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science) or equivalent work experience.\nMinimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in data analysis, preferably within asset management or financial services.\nStrong communication and project management skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a Scrum/agile environment.\nWorking with Us\nAs a Northern Trust partner, you will be part of a flexible and collaborative work culture, which has a strong history of financial strength and stability.
