The team works closely with General Partners, Investment Managers, Client Servicing teams and operational partners to ensure accurate reporting of private market investment activity and performance metrics.\nPrivate Monitor IRAS professionals play an important role in delivering high-quality investment data that supports investment decision making, portfolio monitoring, performance measurement and operational oversight.\nJob Description\nUnder general supervision, the Senior Analyst, supported by a team of Client Solutions and Private Markets partners, will be responsible for the processing, maintenance and quality review of investment data related to alternative investments. The Senior Analyst will assist in delivering operational support to institutional clients while developing expertise in private markets investments and reporting.\nThe key responsibilities of the role include:\n\nKnowledge of Capital market, financial markets, investment instruments, fixed income, Alternative asset, derivatives asset, portfolio management strategies and client reporting\nAbility to multitask and work with calm under crunch situations\nExcellent interpersonal skills for liaising with related departments and client servicing teams\nActs as a daily point of contact for operational and data-related client queries.\nReviews and processes investment activity received from General Partners and investment managers.\nMaintains investment records across private equity, private credit, real estate, infrastructure and hedge fund investments.\nProcesses and validates:Capital calls\nDistributions\nManagement fees\nCarried interest allocations\nRecallable return of capital\nInvestment valuations\nCapital account statements\nILPA reporting templates\n\nSupports the maintenance of commitment schedules and unfunded commitments.\nAssists in the preparation and completion of investment reconciliations.\nPerforms quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of investment data.\nInvestigates and resolves data discrepancies through collaboration with internal teams and external investment managers.\nParticipates in ongoing process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects.\nDevelops an understanding of investment performance concepts and private markets reporting requirements.\n\nRequired Knowledge & Skills:\n\nExperience or interest in one or more of the following areas:\no Alternative investment operations\no Private equity administration\no Investment accounting\no Fund accounting\no Performance measurement\no Investment operations\nBasic understanding of financial markets and investment instruments.\nUnderstanding of alternative investment concepts including:\no Capital calls\no Distributions\no Net Asset Value (NAV)\no Unfunded commitments\no Internal Rate of Return (IRR)\no Capital account statements\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent attention to detail with a focus on data quality.\nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.\nDemonstrates a continuous improvement mindset.\n\nThe successful candidate will benefit from having:\n\nKnowledge of institutional investors such as:\no Foundations\no Endowments\no Family offices\no Pension funds\no Sovereign wealth funds\no Asset managers\nExposure to private market investment structures and reporting.\nExperience reviewing financial statements, capital account statements or alternative investment reporting packages.\nUnderstanding of accounting concepts associated with alternative investments.\nExposure to data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI or Alteryx is advantageous.\n\nQualifications\n\nCollege or University degree, preferably in:\no Finance\no Accounting\no Economics\no Mathematics\no Business\no Related discipline\n0-3 years of relevant experience in financial services, investment operations, fund accounting or alternative investment administration.\nMinimum 24 months in current role (for internal applicants)\n\nWorking with Us:\n\nWe’d love to learn more about how your interests and experience could be a fit with one of the world’s most admired and ethical companies.
