Working closely with Product Owners and development teams, the successful candidate will help facilitate Agile ceremonies, maintain healthy backlogs, track progress and remove obstacles that may impact delivery.\nThis is a hands-on role focused on helping teams stay organised, aligned and focused on delivering sprint commitments. The Scrum Master will act as a facilitator and coach, supporting effective collaboration, clear communication and continuous improvement within the team.\nKey Responsibilities\nFacilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.\nSupport Product Owners and delivery teams with backlog refinement, prioritisation and sprint readiness.\nHelp teams plan and manage their work effectively, ensuring sprint goals and commitments remain visible and achievable.\nIdentify and help remove impediments that may impact delivery progress.\nTrack risks, issues and dependencies and escalate where appropriate.\nUse Agile tools and delivery metrics to monitor progress and provide transparency to stakeholders.\nPromote collaboration between Product Owners, developers and key stakeholders.\nEncourage Agile best practices and support teams in continuously improving how they work.\nHelp maintain a positive team environment focused on delivery, accountability and continuous learning.\nSkills / Qualifications\nThe successful candidate will benefit from having:\nExperience working as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Project Coordinator or similar delivery-focused role.\nGood understanding of Scrum principles, Agile methodologies and software delivery practices.\nExperience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting cross-functional teams.\nExperience working with Product Owners to manage and refine backlogs.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills.\nExperience using Agile tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence or similar platforms.\nAbility to identify risks, dependencies and delivery challenges and help teams work through them.\nScrum certification (PSM, CSM or equivalent) would be an advantage\nWork Authorization\nApplicants must have the right to work in Ireland at the time of application and for the duration of employment.\nPlease note that Northern Trust is unable to provide employment permit sponsorship for this role.
