We are looking for an engineer with strong technical fundamentals, proven problem-solving skills, and an interest in building expertise in a critical enterprise technology platform.\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication Delivery & Edge Infrastructure\nEngineer, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise application delivery and edge services.\nSupport the administration and ongoing development of the Akamai platform, including CDN, traffic management, and web application security services.\nManage and troubleshoot DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS certificates, reverse proxies, caching, and load-balancing configurations.\nSupport the onboarding and integration of applications with enterprise edge infrastructure.\nAnalyze application traffic, connectivity, and performance to identify and resolve service delivery issues.\nAssist with the configuration and tuning of WAF policies, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation services.\nOperations & Troubleshooting\nInvestigate and resolve complex networking and application delivery incidents across distributed infrastructure.\nPartner with network, application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to diagnose and resolve service disruptions.\nSupport platform availability, capacity planning, monitoring, and operational resilience.\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, change management, and problem management processes.\nMaintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and platform configuration standards.\nEngineering & Continuous Improvement\nIdentify opportunities to improve application performance, service availability, and operational efficiency.\nAssist with resiliency planning, failover design, and recovery testing for critical application delivery services.\nEvaluate emerging technologies, contribute to engineering recommendations, and platform improvements.\nCollaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain appropriate protective controls within the application delivery environment.\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, application delivery, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.\nStrong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, routing, and network troubleshooting.\nPractical experience with HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/SSL, certificates, and web application connectivity.\nExperience supporting load balancers, reverse proxies, application delivery controllers, or related technologies.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex network and application connectivity issues across multiple technology layers.\nFamiliarity with network monitoring, traffic analysis, packet captures, and diagnostic tools.\nExperience working in enterprise environments with formal change management and operational support processes.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, F5 BIG-IP, Citrix NetScaler, or comparable CDN and application delivery solutions.\nFamiliarity with web application firewalls, bot mitigation, DDoS protection, or API security technologies.\nExperience with CDN caching, traffic routing, global server load balancing, or DNS-based traffic management.\nKnowledge of automation tools, scripting languages, or API integrations such as Python, Terraform, or REST APIs.\nExperience supporting high-availability or geographically distributed application infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with cloud networking environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.\nRelevant technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or comparable infrastructure certifications.\nExperience working in financial services or other highly regulated enterprise environments.\nSalary Range:\n$114,500 - 194,700 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
