We’ve expanded our business across Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe and Asia to become a global leader, all by bringing together industry experts to find solutions with an entrepreneurial mindset.\nWhile our work powers communities across the globe, Northland is powered by our people.\nThe role will report to the Regional OT Lead and is required to work in the Hamburg office four days per week with one flexible day to work from homeKey Responsibilities:\nEngage and support offshore technicians and relevant operations departments\nLiaise between OT, IT, marine coordination, operational teams, OEMs, and grid operators for seamless collaboration.\nCommunicate system status, risks, and improvement opportunities to management.\nMonitor service status, troubleshoot and coordinate maintenance, updates, upgrades, and replacements.\nIndependently diagnose and troubleshoot faults, coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and third parties.\nPrepare root cause analyses for SCADA and OT infrastructure failures and propose technical solutions.\nStandardize, monitor, and improve predictive and preventative maintenance programs.\nCreate, update, and maintain documentation on systems and processes.\nMaintain accurate asset records and documentation to support audits and lifecycle management.\nAssist in creating work scopes, bid packages, and oversee plant outages.\nAssist in developing project schedules in alignment with operations and maintenance departments.\nUphold health and safety values on windfarm and office sites.\nAbide by IT/OT security policies and ISMS protocols, ensuring compliance with global and local standards.\nFollow industry best practices for installing, configuring, and maintaining OT hardware, systems, and networks for wind assets.\nSupport technological development of the OT landscape and best practices at Northland.\nProvide OT expertise to new projects within the Northland Group.\nRequired to participate in schedule on-call rotation and travel in northern Germany and work on-site offshore based on business need.\nWho you are:\nMethodical and organized: you naturally work in a methodical way and relish the opportunity to add structure, processes, and order to your work. You know when you need to ask for help and are comfortable doing so\nFlexible: You are agile in your approach to your work and in working hours, after all you will be working alongside colleagues in other countries\nPragmatic: You are hands on and love getting involved in the detail\nCommunication: You can communicate at a high level in English and German both with internal and external stakeholders \nQualifications and experience:\nA degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or experience as an OT Engineer with several years of professional experience.\nSound knowledge and several years of experience in OT & Wind Farm Management Systems (SCADA)\nExperience in network operations and/or Linux OS based Software Applications is desirable\nA thorough understanding of how to perform all job requirements in a safe manner, in compliance with all local acts and regulations, so as not to endanger themselves, fellow workers or site equipment.\nA strong desire to “do what it takes” to ensure the reliability and availability of the facility with ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays as dictated by plant schedules.
