This position will be located at our Defense Systems sector in Huntsville, AL.\nThis requisition may be filled as either an Associate Structural Engineer (T01) or an Structural Engineer (T02).\nThe qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.\nThe Sentinel Post Boost Module Analysis Team oversees the design/analysis of the post-boost structure of the Sentinel missile and related subsystems and support systems that facilitate the future upgrade to the Minuteman III missile.\nJob Responsibilities include:\nAnalyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. \nAnalyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. \nSpecific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. \nTools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.\nBasic Qualifications for an Associate Structural Engineer (T01):\nA candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:\nBe completing or has completed their bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.\nBe majoring in or having majored in Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.\nBe able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)\nBasic Qualifications for a Structural Engineer (T02):\nA candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria.
