As an Accountant - Level 4, your role at Dulles, VA will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. FT remote work may be available. Ready to join forces with our visionary team?\nRoles and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:\nPrepare accrual and other journal entries to support month and quarter close.\nAnalyze balance sheet composition and flux to support quarterly financial reporting.\nReconcile various balance sheet accounts to include unbilled AR and inventory.\nReview and approve Costpoint access requests to Project Finance.\nReview and resolve Concur Travel and Expense system coding errors.\nPerform Costpoint user acceptance and patch testing.\nSet up projects for indirect efforts.\nTake a lead role in division quarterly accruals.\nTie out cost pools to identify any miscoded cost and prepare journal entries to correct any discrepancies.\nSupport division FP&A department and external FP&A teams with reporting and analysis requirements.\nDrives continued success by finding and communicating opportunities for efficiencies, process improvement, and/or automation of processes.\nPerform ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed.\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and 8+ years of related experience - OR - 6+ years related experience with a Master’s degree\nUnderstanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirements\nProficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.)\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\nProfessional experience in a corporate GL accounting team\nProficiency with Deltek Costpoint and IBM Cognos Analytics\nExperience preparing journal entries\nSolid understanding of basic debit/credit mechanics\nPreferred Experience:\nPrior experience with cost pool maintenance and tie outs\nProfessional experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry (specifically government contracting)\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $97,100.00 - $160,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
