This effort will support a service life modification program San Antonio, TX where the F-18 Electrical Avionics Technician will be responsible for Organizational and Depot Level support of the aircraft’s Electrical systems. To include:\nResponsibilities:\nUnderstanding pre / post flight activities and inspections\nPerforming maintenance operations on F-18 aircraft, aircraft equipment, engines, components, and systems in accordance all applicable directives.\nAbility to read and interpret wiring schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.\nAble to setup and use a torque wrench and use common hand tools such as: wrenches, safety wire pliers, etc.\nAble to operate specialty tools such as crimpers, multimeters, M1 meters, Air data test sets, pin extractors.\nAble to remove, replace, and function check aircraft components and assemblies\nKnowledgeable in wire repair, splicing, soldering and wire bundling.\nAble to disassemble, pin and de-pin connectors.\nMaintain electrical and instrument systems, including power generation, conversion, and distribution.\nInspect and maintain aircraft batteries and electrical components.\nMaintain interior and exterior lighting on the aircraft.\nHandle electrical control of aircraft systems, including hydraulics, landing gear, utilities, and power plant engines\nSupervision of automatic flight control and stabilization systems.\nDetailing aircraft compass systems, altitude reference systems, and inertial navigational systems\nBasic Qualifications for F-18 Electrical Avionics Technician:\nHave at least 3 years of F-18 experience and familiarity with inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, removals, and repairs.\nMust have and maintain an active secret Government Secret clearance\nMust have comprehensive written and verbal English communication skills.\nMust have the ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate customer maintenance requirements.\nMust be able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.\nMust be able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.\nWill be required to comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, and all training and certification requirements.\nAbility to lift 30 bs, climb ladders, aircraft stands, or stand for long periods in uneven or slippery terrain. \nMust be able to pass a physical and weigh in for fall protection.\nPreferred Qualifications for F-18 Electrical Avionics Technician:\nStrong preference to candidates who have supported U.S. Navy F-18 or EA-18G squadrons on deployment.\nFighter type aircraft maintenance experience\nA&P license\nU.S. Navy or USMC background\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $60,500.00 - $100,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
