Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical/Principal Electrical Engineer in support of the ICBM Sustainment program. This position is located: Clearfield, UT.

What You’ll Get To Do:

The Trainer team provides support to many of the Minuteman III trainers used to train operators and maintainers on how to do their jobs. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Attending internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings

  • Support formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates

  • Ensure appropriate coordination between electrical design and other integration teams.

  • Coordinate electrical system engineering content and work products.

  • Conduct electrical analysis and/or develop electrical designs

  • Provide updates to technical baseline to include drawings, Technical Orders, and Technical Manuals.

  • Research and identify suitable substitute parts for obsolete legacy equipment.

  • Identify repair procedures for failures found in the field

  • Coordinate activities with a subcontractor.

  • Trouble shooting CCAs that do not work properly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • T02: 2 Years with of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university or 0 years of experience with a Master’s degree

  • T03: 5 Years with of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university or 3 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 1 years of experience with a PhD.

  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

  • Knowledgeable with Siemens Teamcenter PLM or equivalent.

  • Electrical engineering experience in at least two of the following fields: electrical architecture, power systems, cable design, circuit design, EDI, interface definition (internal and/or external), or power distribution.

  • Comfortable with understanding industry codes, standards, specifications, and mil-specs.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on MMIII weapon system

  • Experience with government drawings

  • Experience with government Technical Orders

  • Experience with using a Huntron to troubleshoot circuit cards

  • Current Top Secret clearance

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
