This role will be supporting some of our most advanced programs to include AARGM ER and the SiAW programs.\nThis position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.\nThis Embedded Software Engineering Manager role will comprise approximately 20% of the candidate's time and the remaining 80% of the time is expected to be directly funded technical activities as a highly contributing member of a software team in support of one or more Advance Weapons programs. This role is responsible for the direct supervision & management of embedded software staff, and for providing objective-oriented directions to direct reports utilizing software engineering guidelines & general policies. This role will also be responsible for day-to-day communications, performance assessment and feedback, career counseling, professional development, employee rewards and recognition, and resolving personnel issues and managing staff.\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math - or related technical area) with 8+ years of Software related experience - OR - Master’s degree of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math - or related technical area) with 6+ years of Software related experience\nExperience in requirements analysis, modeling and simulation, embedded software development, and verification and validation at subsystem and system level\nMust have a high proficiency in technical problem solving to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and control account monitoring\nMust possess Embedded Software Engineering discipline knowledge with strong knowledge of software development life cycles to incorporate practices into the engineering daily workflow\nSoftware development experience in C++, C#, Python or other language\nFamiliarity with Cameo, Atlassian Tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Crucible, Bamboo), and DOORS \nExperience implementing action plans based on metrics and/or root cause/corrective actions\nAbility to form strong partnerships to ensure lockstep coordination with adjacent discipline areas and program management leadership.\nActive U.S. Government Secret Clearance to start (citizenship required)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated excellence in a technical leadership/management role with 15+ team members\nExperience with Earned Value Management\nWorking knowledge of Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, processes, and tools\nExperience with cyber security requirements or relevant program protection enhancements\nExperience in system and subsystem specification development including verification methodologies\nProven experience leading technically diverse teams of 15-25 engineers\nExperience with test automation tools and frameworks\nExperience creating and maintaining a DevOps continuous integration / continuous deliveries (CI/CD) pipeline and associated tools\nFamiliarity with Foreign Military Sales\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal skills\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $161,000.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
