The successful engineer will contribute to the overall development of electro-optical infrared subsystems, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements, You will design, develop, build, and test EW systems in conjunction with key suppliers.\nResponsibilities:\nSupport development and integration of subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives\nRequirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation, translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.\nPerform functional and performance analyses\nConducting trade studies\nCollaborate with engineers and program stakeholders\nReview documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviews\nPerform informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the lab\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Clearance\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\nBasic Qualifications:\nEngineer: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM discipline and 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 0 years of experience\nKnowledge of EO/IR phenomenology\nExperience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing EOIR equipment for airborne platforms.\nDemonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environment\nDemonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in EO/IR system and atmospheric modeling\nKnowledge of digital image processing algorithms\nExperience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level\nExperience in performance analysis using MATLAB and Excel or similar tools\nExperience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives\nFamiliarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)\nExperience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selection\nAbility to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design review\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
