This position is for the 1st shift with a 9/80 work schedule.\nWe are looking for an engineer who can analyze, research, and develop structural engineering specifications for metals, non-metallic materials, and composite structures. Responsibilities include analyzing metallic and composite airframe structures, as well as performing analysis using tools such as PATRAN or FEMAP and other software applications.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform stress analysis for primary and secondary structures.\nReview completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness.\nCollaborate effectively with other disciplines during the design development process.\nPresent and explain structural issues and solutions clearly to internal management and customers.\nMaintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems to support post-production deliveries.\nDevelop comprehensive and practical solutions to complex problems that align with program objectives.\nEvaluate as-built products for compliance with standards, procedures, and specifications.\nUtilize structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis and manipulation of large Finite Element Models.\nThis position can be filled at either the Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Engineer (Level 3) level.\nBasic Qualifications:\nEngineer Structural: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Aerospace Structural Analysis, or a Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with no experience required.\nPrincipal Engineer Structural: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace Structural Analysis; a Master’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil) with a minimum of 3 years of experience; or a PhD with no prior experience required.\nExperience in bonded composite structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.\nExperience in metallic structural analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures.\nProficiency in structural analysis methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis and large Finite Element Model manipulation.\nFamiliarity with PATRAN or FEMAP.\nYour ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience working on military aircraft.\nKnowledge of MIL-STD regulations as they pertain to aerospace structures.\nPrevious experience performing structural analysis on the F35 Program, and familiar with the Lockheed Martin tools such as IMAT, IDAT, and PDM. \nProficiency in finite element analysis/modeling techniques, including manipulation of large finite element models.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
