This position will be onsite in Melbourne, FL.\nThe Systems Integration team is a core part of System Engineering and spans the technical baseline and program aspects in multiple Advanced Hawkeye programs. The System Integration team works with other system, software, test and quality teams to coordinate and integrate the development process and engineering efforts on new capability programs. System Engineering works as part of a team driving digital transformation to engineering practices within the enterprise.\nThe Integration process provides a framework to systematically integrate, assemble and verify lower-level system elements into successively higher-level system elements, until the system itself is realized in its entirety. It includes planning, orderly build up tasks, and activities required to ensure that the Configuration Items comprising the system solution function as a whole. The resulting product configuration baseline supports system verification and any other required system level testing. Early interface development and management is critical to the success of the Integration process. Interface control specifications, interface control documents or interface design descriptions support Interface Management by verifying that the interfaces developed are accurate, effective and configuration controlled. The end result is a systematic buildup of the product baseline under configuration control, managed and authorized for final formal verification activities by the technical community towards completion of the assigned scope.\nAs a Systems Integration Engineer, you will:\nDevelop an integration plan consistent with the program’s Integrated Master Schedule.\nOversee integration activities in accordance with their approved integration plan.\nMonitor the development and delivery schedules for the components to be integrated.\nPeer review test procedures to ensure that the resulting procedures adequately meet the needs of the verification plan and cover the stated requirements set.\nEnsure test procedures are linked to the associated integration plans and the requirements they are intended to verify.\nReview test results to identify issues that must be addressed regarding integration verification failures.\nEnsure integration failures and discrepancies have been recorded and reviewed by the appropriate technical review board.\nSupport periodic Interface Control Working Groups (ICWG).\nManage and document hardware and software configurations.\nThis role can be filled at the Principal (Level 3) or Senior Principal (Level 4) level.\nBasic Qualifications (Principal):\nMust have a Bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience OR a Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.\nBasic Qualifications (Senior Principal):\nMust have a Bachelor’s degree AND 8 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master’s degree AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR a Ph.D. AND4 years of related professional/military experience.\nApplicable at Both Levels:\nUnderstanding of systems engineering principles.\nAbility to develop systems integration plans.\nExperience with the integration of aircraft systems in either development or production environments.\nUnderstanding of aircraft development or other major platforms (ex: Spacecraft, Radar).\nAbility to execute integration activities and track integration activity metrics.\nMust have the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with MBSE tools to plan integration activities.\nExperience with Jira, Confluence, DOORS, and Cameo (or equivalent).\nExperience with test benches and verification.\nUnderstand interfaces of aircraft systems (ex: 1553, 429, etc.).\nExperience with deficiency reporting and writing.\nAssist with resolution of deficiency reports.\nDemonstrate full working knowledge of Systems Engineering procedures and practices.\nEvaluate test requirements to ensure completion of test phase.\nAssist with sell-off of system requirements to customer.\nTrack hardware and software configuration throughout development lifecycle.\nAlready possess an Active DoD TS Clearance.\nAlready possess an Active Program Specific SAP Clearance.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
