No telework is available.\nPrincipal Responsibilities:\nOperates analytical instrumentation.\nPerforms standard analytical test methods for quality control, material assessment, or engineering evaluation.\nProvides technical support to plant personnel on a variety of tasks.\nGathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.\nFollows engineering documentation requirements including specifications and drawings.\nPerforms detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas.\nPerforms quantitative judgments concerning technical data.\nDisposes of raw materials per regulatory guidelines.\nCommunicates well across multiple disciplines.\nMonitors gauge, instrument, and equipment calibrations. Ensures calibration cycles are not exceeded.\nPerforms a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions.\nAble to work overtime as required.\nThis position will be filled at either the Engineering Technician 2 or Engineering Technician 3 level based on the selected candidate’s education, experience, and qualifications.\nBasic Qualifications Engineering Technician 2:\nHigh school diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience.\nAbility to routinely lift 30 pounds and ability to work in tight spaces.\nDemonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.\nAbility to work independently and with minimum supervision.\nProficient in MS Office.\nAbility and willingness to provide coverage on weekends.\nAbility to obtain a US government Secret security clearance as needed, for which US Citizenship is a prerequisite.\nBasic Qualifications Engineering Technician 3:\nHigh school diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience.\nAbility to routinely lift 30 pounds and ability to work in tight spaces.\nDemonstrated hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.\nAbility to work independently and with minimum supervision.\nProficient in MS Office.\nAbility and willingness to provide coverage on weekends.\nAbility to obtain a US government Secret security clearance as needed, for which US Citizenship is a prerequisite.\nPreferred Qualifications both levels:\nTechnology degree preferred.\nExperience handling energetics, hazardous chemicals, and solvents preferred.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
