Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Ground Systems Computer HW Engineer to join the Compute Integrated Product Team (IPT) of a new ground-based radar supporting Space Domain Awareness (SDA). As a Computer HW Engineer you will be a key member of the team responsible for designing, standing up, and sustaining several high-performance computer environments supporting the radar systems digital signal processing and mission software. This role will be reporting to the Compute IPT lead and work collaboratively with other functional disciplines to design, document and implement a computer system that will meet operational requirements for the system. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundational knowledge of computer systems (i.e., hardware components, applications, operating systems), HW baseline design and change control management, and be able to collaboratively apply systems engineering principles to successfully design, procure, plan and integrate computer systems for the radar system.\nJob Duties Include:\nCollaboratively define and document the computer system design\nDevelop Cameo models and engineering Bill of Materials\nDetermine systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security\nSupport the design and integration of the various computer environments\nIdentify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies\nDevelop and recommend corrective actions\nWork hands on with other engineers to build, integrate and checkout computer system components or subsystems\nCollaborate with systems engineering, computer system architects, cybersecurity engineers, SW engineers, and other functions directly supporting the compute IPT to achieve IPT goals\nThis requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.\nThis requisition may be filled as either a level 3 or level 4.\nBasic Qualifications for a Level 3:\nMust have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance\nBachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience - OR - Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience - OR - PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
