This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.\nThis role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\nWhat You’ll Get To Do:\nThe manager will lead a growing team of structural analysis engineers and will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to structural analysis. The manager will work 80% of their time in the structural analysis engineering discipline, as directed by the Sentinel Program AVE IPT Lead. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor’s execution lead in Roy, UT. Functional home room support, approximately 20% of the manager’s time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.\nYou’ll Bring These Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 8 years of experience; or Master's degree with 6 years of experience.\nDemonstrated excellence in the field of structural analysis.\nExperience in writing and presenting technical content.\nIn depth familiarity with Abaqus, Ansys or Nastran• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.\nMust have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).\nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need\nExperience in Finite Element Analysis with Nastran (or equivalent). \nExperience in performing Bolted Joint Analyses per NASA STD 5020.\nExperience running static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools) .\nExperience in the thermal analysis of aerospace systems.\nBasic knowledge of Heat Transfer methods and principles.\nProficient in programming and use of MATLAB (or equivalent) for analysis and data manipulation\nThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:\nMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent from an accredited college/university.\nExperience in a technical leadership/management role.\nExperience working strategic or tactical missile programs or spacecraft.\nExperience with Thermal Desktop.\nDoD Top Secret Clearance - Proficiency with ABAQUS, FEMAP, and ANSYS.\nExposure to structural test applications- Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7).\nExposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsion.\nNavigate through NX 3D models and CPLM.\nTeamCenter CPLM experience.\nExisting Special Access Program (SAP) approval.\nStrong experience leading teams and training others.\nExperience with individual contributor performance assessments.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
