This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\nIn this job, you will:\nCreates, leads, and approves production plans.\n\nLeads efforts to provide engineering review and documents intended processes to maintain schedule for one or more customer programs.\n\nLeads non-conformance review and root cause determination.\n\nDesigns manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling. Designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.\n\nDesigns sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.\n\nAdapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.\n\nMay incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan. Inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.\n\nDevelops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.\n\nProvides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.\n\nEnsures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.\n\nDirectly interfaces with Technicians and supporting roles in a fast-paced manufacturing environment\n\nThis position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.\nBasic Qualifications for Level 2:\nBachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or other related STEM area and at least 2 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area - OR - a Master's degree (Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted)\n\nNo clearance required\n\nHands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment including some of these: soldering, mechanical assembly, epoxy dispensing and curing, conformal coating, thermal interface material dispense/application, Automated Optical Inspection, component/assembly test, etc.\n\nBasic Qualifications for Level 3:\nBachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or other related STEM area and at least 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering, Production, or related area - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of applicable experience (Additional years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted)\n\nNo clearance required\n\nHands-on experience with electronics assembly processes and equipment including some of these: soldering, mechanical assembly, epoxy dispensing and curing, conformal coating, thermal interface material dispense/application, Automated Optical Inspection, component/assembly test, etc.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with circuit card installation, box closure, and rework\n\nExperience with preventative maintenance\n\nExperience with Costpoint, SAP, MES, Solumina, TIPQA, Windchill\n\nExperience working in an ISO or AS9100 environment\n\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector?
