We’re seeking a Systems Engineering Manager 1 to lead and elevate our Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A) capabilities in support of evolving mission needs. This is a dual role that combines technical project execution with people leadership, focused on delivering credible, mission-focused systems solutions and will be 100% on site at our Linthicum, MD location.\nAs an integral part of our Foundational Systems Engineering department located in Linthicum, MD you will focus on architecting the delivery of capabilities across multiple programs through the development and use of advanced models and simulations of platforms, sensors, weapons, and their interactions with the environment.\nWhat You’ll Get to Do:\nFunctional & People Leadership:\nBalance approximately 80% allocation to technical/programmatic work and 20% to functional management activities.\nLead, develop, and manage a team of engineers supporting MS&A initiatives.\nProvide engineering staffing to programs.\nSupport Compensation planning.\nProvide performance management and career development for direct reports.\nFoster a culture of well-being, inclusion, and high performance.\nSupport hiring, onboarding, compensation planning, and skills/career development.\nManage workload forecasting and drive continuous improvement efforts.\nMentor both senior and junior staff to build the next generation of MS&A professionals.\nMaintain and apply engineering processes, tools, and standards.\nDevelop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering sector-wide collaboration.\nReview proposal content, develop department initiatives, and drive technology roadmaps.\nTechnical & Project Leadership:\nUtilize Modeling, Simulation and Analysis (MS&A) of advanced systems using C++ object-oriented design, advanced data structures and test-driven development.\nDevelop large scale data analytics, probabilities, and statistics, including the application of design of experiment techniques for the evaluation of system and mission performance.\nIntegrate MS&A with operational flight software, collecting and analyzing data from laboratory or flight tests, the verification and validation of simulation performance against flight test data, and formally verifying that the models meet specified requirements.\nProduce publication quality reports which define the foundation for simulation credibility across all stakeholders and provide the artifacts to support formal simulation Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VVA).\nLead teams to solve problems and architect improvements across MS&A product lines.\nPerform IQ-fidelity modeling and simulation to inform operational analysis and mission effectiveness.\nDesign simulation architectures to supports trade studies for emerging contract proposals\nDevelop new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.\nModel operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and recommends alternative architectures.\nSimulate real-time operations and develops software that simulates behavior of systems.\nArchitect ecosystems and tools that aggregate large simulation output datasets into deliverable visual formats.\nDefine and propagate MS&A Best Practices through new tool adoption across programs.\nThis position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active U.S Government Secret Clearance and approval of Special Program Access (SAP).\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 1 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.\nU.S Citizenship is required.\nA current / active U.S Government Secret Clearance.\nAbility to obtain and/or maintain Special Program Access. \n1 year of experience in people management or leading engineering teams/IPTs.\nDemonstrated experience in RF Modeling, Simulation & Analysis (MS&A). \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAdvanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related technical fields. \nActive U.S Government Top Secret Clearance or higher. \nExperience leading functional or programmatic teams of 10+ engineers.\nExperience with programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash or C shell scripting on the Linux and Windows computing environments.\nDomain experience in simulations of Radar/EW/ESM.\nExperience working with digital signal processing and complex valued signal data.\nStrong technical problem-solving skills;
