Our differentiated battle management and cyber solutions deliver timely, mission-enabling information and provide superior situational awareness and understanding to protect the U.S. and its global allies.\nNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Team as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.\nThe selected candidate will be responsible for the execution and support of all mechanical activities as they relate to the production of optical-mechanical assemblies, including tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on opto-mechanical, electro-optical and electronic and/or mechanical assemblies. Working from diagrams and drawings, making initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools. Performs continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications provided by engineering groups.\nWhat you will get to do:\nPerform mechanical assembly, potting, magnet stacking, mpm, transmitter assembly\nRework/troubleshooting\nIn process inspections\nMicroscope and manual dexterity operations\nPerform some automated testing\nRead and interpret drawings, schematics, work instructions, and assembly documentation.\nUse a wide range of precision hand tools, torque tools, measuring equipment and mechanical test equipment.\nPerform mechanical fit-up, alignment, and hardware installation.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications for the Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3:\nHigh school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical assembly work experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.\nHands on experience with various tooling and equipment.\nExperience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.\nExperience with building or working with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.\nU.S. Citizenship required.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with precision mechanical assemblies and tight tolerance work.\nSoldering, crimping, and connector installation experience.\nTroubleshooting experience with new hardware design.\nExperience working with chemicals\nExperience with SAP or MES equivalent\nMust be able to work OT if required, and or weekends if applicable\nWhat We Can Offer You:\nNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
