This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel Program.\nWhat You’ll Get To Do:\nAs a software engineer, you will design and develop flight system embedded software applications. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver high quality, scalable and reliable software products.\nBasic Qualifications:\nT3 Principal Embedded Software Engineer: Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree in STEM with 3 years of related experience, or PhD in STEM with 1 year of related experience. • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.\n2+ year experience in developing software in C/C++/C#, Python, Java, or similar programming language\n2+ year experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns, hardware/software communication interfaces, real-time and post processing data analytics\n2+ years of full life cycle of software development and Agile software development\nExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite\nExperience with Model Based Systems Engineering using Cameo\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience developing real time software for weapon systems\nAble to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans\nFamiliarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, PCLint, etc.\nProgramming and scripting experience in a UNIX environment (C++, Perl, Python, Bash, Ruby, Shell, Scripts)\nProgramming and scripting experience in a Windows environment\nExperience with developing and maintaining software using CI/CD pipelines\nExperience with developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\nExperience with source code configuration management tools (i.e git).\nExperience using automation to regression test software products\nExperience with GreenHills or VxWorks\nPrevious Special Access clearance\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
