This position is located at our site near BWI Airport in Maryland.\nThePrincipal Manufacturing Project Engineer will be responsible for a group of product lines moving through their respective areas.\nResponsibilities include:\nAct as the main point of contact for all manufacturing engineering related activities for your product\nMonitor product performance, quality, delivery, and cost metrics; highlight detractors and gather resources to resolve them\nCollaborate closely with process/test engineering as well as multiple other functional groups supporting shop floor, program office, and customer (quality engineering, manufacturing supervision, production, operations, design engineering, program management)\nDrive root cause corrective action efforts\nIdentify continuous improvement opportunities; create solutions and lobby for funding\nReview and handle product on the shop floor\nLead communications outward from the shop floor, through yield meetings, situations reports, problem resolution charts, etc.\nGather and document efforts for non-recurring cost for initial product startup as well as support manufacturing readiness reviews\nCoordinate between non-deliverable hardware requestor and manufacturing operations/engineering \nBasic Qualifications For Principal Manufacturing Project Engineer (level 3):\nBachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM area and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience or a minimum of 3 years with a MS degree.\nExperience in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience managing or leading projects and/or people. \nExperience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).\nFluency in MS Office software applications.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.\nUS Citizenship is required. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with PCB assembly and test.\nExperience with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements, including J-STD-001, IPC-610.\nExperience with Configuration Management and Manufacturing Process Planning.\n#MFGCMP\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
