The Principal RF/Digital/Power Test Engineer will support the development, integration, and testing of production hardware. Activities range from hands-on testing and troubleshooting; to analysis of failure trends, root cause/ corrective actions; and attending program meetings to report yields, problems, and corrective actions.\nWhat You'll Get to Do:\nDesign, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment\nTroubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware\nSupport First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) actions and hardware deliveries\nAnalyze test data and identify early trends\nCompile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements\nCollaborate with design engineering to develop and implement hardware improvements and solutions\nSupport technicians through troubleshoot and training\nMonitor product yields and maintain program yield targets\nSupport program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions\nAttend program meetings to report yield issues, yield detractor investigation finding, and corrective actions\nInterface with manufacturing management, test technicians, production engineers, design engineers, system engineers, program management and program support teams\nThe successful candidate will have a working knowledge of RF theory and concepts; and a working knowledge of digital and power circuit design. They will have analytical skills to review requirements, test plans, and test scenarios; and the ability to effectively communicate across teams. They should be self-directed, organized, team oriented and have previous experience with MS Office tools.\nPlease note this is for a 4th shift position\nBasic Qualifications Principal RF/Digital/Power Test Engineer (Level 3):\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.\nExperience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and block diagrams\nExperience with RF hardware and software\nExperience with Digital engineering\nExperience with RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator\nExperience with Troubleshooting on the lower level and component level\nThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance is required.\nU.S. citizenship is required.\nAbility to work 4th Shift (after training period on 1st shift)\nPreferred Qualifications for Principal RF/Digital Test and Development Engineer:\nAdvanced degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline\nExperience with FPGAs\nExperience with LabWindows CVI, C / C++ programming, Python\nTestStand programming\nExperience with digital, analog, RF test equipment, RF theory and high speed digital.\nExperience with differential digital interfaces like LVDS\nPXI/PXIe and VME bus experience\nHands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware\nCurrent active Secret Security Clearance\nExperience investigating and qualifying drop-in semiconductor or passive component replacements to resolve supply-chain or parts-obsolescence roadblocks\nExperience configuring high-power bench setups featuring programmable AC/DC sources, electronic loads, and automated instrumentation sequences\nRFTBWI\nMANUMS\nMPR#\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
