You will support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) System Team - a specialized Agile team responsible for enabling and sustaining the Agile development environment, including development and maintenance of the Continuous Delivery Pipeline for mission-critical command and control (C2) software.\nIn this role, you will partner closely with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions in support of IBCS. This position is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys cross-functional coordination, solving complex integration problems, and driving continuous improvement across development pipelines and environments.\nResponsibilities / Essential Functions\nServe as a key member of the IBCS System Team, supporting the Agile development environment and Continuous Delivery Pipeline for multiple software baselines.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with software, systems, DevOps, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to plan, integrate, and improve end-to-end delivery workflows.\nCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, clearly conveying technical issues, options, and impacts.\nApply strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations where requirements, priorities, and external constraints may change rapidly.\nInfluence and coordinate work across multiple teams without direct line authority, ensuring alignment on priorities and commitments.\nApply DevOps concepts and best practices to support software delivery pipelines, even when not acting as the primary implementer.\nTake ownership to identify roadblocks, track actions, and drive issues through to closure.\nOperate comfortably in an environment where priorities shift and the work mix includes both hands-on technical tasks and coordination/facilitation work.\nMaintain technical credibility across multiple disciplines to effectively communicate with engineers and understand the work and trade space being discussed.\nWork in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, diverse assignments, and collaborative team settings across all levels of the organization.\nBasic Qualifications\nSoftware Engineer- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in STEM field and 0 years of experience.\nPrincipal Software Engineer- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree in STEM field and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in STEM field and 0 years\nStrong experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and implementation, including:\n- Virtualized environments and virtual machines.\n- Containerization technologies.\n- Container orchestration platforms.\nHands-on experience with:\n- Ansible and Ansible playbooks; Ansible Automation Platform.\n- Jenkins or similar CI/CD automation tools.\n- Sonatype Nexus or similar artifact repository managers.\nProficiency in Linux-based development and runtime environments.\nExperience with modern configuration management and source control tools (Git / GitLab).\nCurrent CompTIA Security+ certification\nActive Secret Clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Python for automation, tooling, or pipeline integration.\nCI/CD experience in classified or highly controlled environments.\nExperience designing, implementing, and maintaining test bench and benchmarking CI/CD pipelines.\nExperience defining CI/CD requirements, user stories, and use cases in partnership with development and test teams.\nFamiliarity with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $135,800.00 - $203,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
