Products include spacecraft solar arrays, deployable structural systems and mechanisms, and antenna reflectors. Our products are used on virtually every spacecraft and satellite, and our customers include NASA, US government, and commercial satellite suppliers.\nOverview\nThe primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The individual will lead a cross-functional organization aligned to common program performance goals. The Program Manager will be responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout).\nRole and Responsibilities:\nCultivate customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community\nDevelop new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plans\nEstablish a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations\nLead and direct cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives\nMeasure and report program performance\nDeliver presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders\nParticipate in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions.\nEstablish design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.\nCreate, review and finalize the program Statement of Work\nIdentify, distribute, track, and complete program requirements\nEstablish and manage the program and subordinate baselines\nDevelop and adhere to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools\nIdentify, allocate and manage program resources, to include workforce planning\nManage Government/customer supplied property or information (GFE, CFE, etc.)\nManage suppliers to meet program objectives.\nAdhere to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards\nEnsure the program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manage change through control board activities \nDevelop and adhere to master plans and schedules\nConduct thorough risk and opportunity management practices to include identification, mitigation and realization\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree and 8 years’ experience supporting customers in a project/technical lead role; OR 6 years’ experience with a Master’s degree\nMinimum 4+ years of experience in program/project management\nExperience managing an EAC on programs greater than $1M in value, Cost Account Manager for a similar size effort also applicable\nProven analytical, technical, strategic and problem-solving skills\nStrong organization skills in both independent and team environments\nExperience in design for manufacturing and transition to production programs\nGated design development experience (PDR, CDR)\nStrong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills\nAbility to adjust communication to audience (from manufacturing technician up through customer and executive management)\nUS Citizenship is required\nPreferred Qualifications:\nFamiliarity with Space Deployable Structures and Mechanisms\nExperience in both Engineering and Project Management, or IPT roles\nManufacturing or Mechanical Engineering experience\nProposal Management and/or Business Development experience\nCost Account Manager experience\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
