Help us define what is possible for our nation and for your career.\nThe Role\nThis role sits within the KC-30A Engineering & Technical Services team and plays an important part in keeping the fleet safe, compliant and available for operations.\nYou'll work across aircraft sustainment, engineering investigations, technical information reviews and modification activities, providing the engineering judgement that helps turn complex technical information into practical outcomes. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor developing engineers, contribute to engineering governance and help shape how engineering support is delivered across the program.\nThis role is based in Springfield or Pinkenba (Brisbane Airport), Queensland. Hybrid working, and a 9 day fortnight option available.\nAustralian Citizenship and the ability to gain and retain NV1 clearance is mandatory.\nKey Responsibilities\nIn this position you will:\nProvide engineering support across aircraft sustainment, technical investigations and airworthiness activities.\nAssess technical information from Airbus and other stakeholders, translating it into practical engineering outcomes.\nContribute to modifications, engineering change and continuous improvement initiatives across the program.\nSupport and mentor less experienced engineers while helping build team capability.\nInfluence engineering processes and ways of working within a complex Defence aviation environment.\nAbout You\nYou're an Aerospace, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineer with experience in aviation, sustainment, airworthiness or other highly regulated engineering environments.\nYou enjoy solving technical problems, working with a broad range of stakeholders and seeing the real-world impact of engineering decisions.
