This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel program.\nWhat You’ll Get To Do:\nDesign, develop, document, test, and debug software in an agile development environment.\nDesign and define system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.\nDesign automated test procedures for test execution teams.\nWork with the lead test engineer and a team of software developers to establish and develop test methods and techniques.\nParticipate in formal testing events, customer meetings, and software design reviews.\nThis position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.\nBasic Qualifications: \nPrincipal Engineer Software: 5 Years with Bachelors in relevant field of study; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.\nUS Citizenship with Active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date occurring within the last 6 years, with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.\nAbility to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.\nExperience with Agile and working in a cross-function Scrum team.\nWorking knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design Principles.\nExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.\nExperience with version control management software (Git or similar).\nExperience programming in object-oriented languages (Java, C#, etc.) and scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)\nExperience Interpreting complex algorithms and requirements for implementation.\nExperience demonstrating technical leadership, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills, effectively engaging with various stakeholders.\nQualifications Would be Nice to Have: \nBachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).\nExperience with test engineering principles and processes, specifically Integrated Test Planning and Detailed Test Planning.\nFamiliarity with Model-Based Software Engineering.\nExperience with IBM DOORS/Cameo DataHub and the ability to write and decompose system requirements.\nExperience with UI design and development.\nExperience with Database Management and Design, particularly PostgreSQL.\nExperience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.\nExperience with Linux Operating System.\nDemonstrated expertise soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing data, and communicating complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
