Finally, We pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.\nThe successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 10-20 individuals to complete the full software development life cycle in an Agile software development environment.\nThe successful candidate will serve as a software manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SW products to next level of integration, meeting contractual cost, schedule, and technical requirements. This role will report to the GSEG IPT lead for Progress using Agile Metrics and EVMS methodologies. The role is also responsible for risk management and providing technical guidance to the team.\nThe successful candidate will collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Test Automation, DevSecOps and Systems Test organizations, to ensure the team is meeting the mission engineering objectives of the contract. The successful candidate will implement and utilize several Agile development techniques and metrics to manage the team’s progress and the work quality throughout the product life cycle. This position is a dual hatted role, combining Technical Software Development and Management responsibilities. It reports to the GSEG IPT Lead on the program side and to the Software Department Manager on the EI&E engineering leadership side.\nEssential Functions:\nParticipate in the full software development life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of software products to our customers\nCollaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems\nCultivate an inclusive and engaging workplace. Finally, We pioneer: setting a vision that shapes the future and inspires others.\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field AND 9 years of related professional experience that includes a background in software development, OR a Master’s degree AND 7 years of related professional experience that includes a background in software development.\nCandidate must have excellent written, communication, and emotional intelligence skills, and be able to work independently and within groups\nAbility to facilitate/mediate in conflict resolution matters\nProficiency in software development, Object Oriented programming, and software lifecycle processes\nFamiliarity with other engineering disciplines including manufacturing, test, systems, quality, and electrical\nMust have an Active U.S. government Secret Clearance\nCandidate must be able to work on site at the facility \nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrevious experience as a functional manager or technical team leader\nCandidate should have hands on experience with DoD communications systems\nProficiency in C/C++, Python, Java, XML, Multi-threaded Linux Environments\nFamiliar with OMS/UCI infrastructure\nExperience with DevOps technologies including Atlassian suite, GitLab, Jenkins, Coverity, BlackDuck\nCandidate should have direct supervisory experience and/or significant team leadership\nFamiliarity with EVMS Reporting and CAM responsibilities\nFamiliarity with other organizational functions such as supply chain, procurement, logistics, and mission assurance\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $161,100.00 - $241,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
