The selected candidate will report to the Northrop Grumman site in Apopka, FL\nWhat You'll Get To Do:\nYou will have opportunities to support the design, integration, test, and production of laser based electro-optical, ranging and target designator systems.\nRoles & Responsibilities:\nDeveloping complex programmable logic code designs, analog and digital hardware designs and generating design requirements and test documentation\nGeneration of detailed electronic schematics, CCA drawings, and bill of materials (BOMs) for electronic designs\nSupporting other engineering disciplines in the integration and test of electronic systems\nGenerating engineering change notices (ECN), updating models / drawings, and releasing appropriate documentation into Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) databases\nPerforming root cause corrective action (RCCA) for hardware failures\nPerforming work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering team; perform successfully in a fast-paced, work environment. \nBasic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM discipline and a minimum of 9 years of relevant, professional experience or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant, professional experience\nUS Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance\nHigh level of proficiency in Cadence Allegro Products\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDegree in Electrical Engineering is preferred\nCapacity and knowledge for prep and presentation to internal and clients at deign reviews\nExperience translating higher assembly level requirements into design requirements\nExperience writing FPGA physical constraints and solving complex FPGA timing issues\nKnowledge and experience in laser-based range finding\nExperience with MATLAB, Simulink, LTSpice, Spice\nExperience writing code for interface protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, Spacewire, Ethernet Protocols, HDMI, MIPI, and others)\nExperience using vendor supplied IP cores in programmable logic designs\nCircuit design, integration, test and troubleshooting experience\nExperience performing electrical component selection and part obsolescence BOM reviews\nExperience with hand soldering, assembling, and repairing wire harnesses and other electronic assemblies\nExperience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications\nExperience with standards and specifications for Military Ground, Marine, Aerospace and Space applications.\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
