These values inspire and unite our people- who make everything we do possible.\nThis position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.\nIn this job, you will:\nReviews and interprets existing and proposed environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations to determine applicability and impact for sites.\nAssists with implementation of programs to comply with EHS regulations.\nPartners with business leaders to continuously improve the culture, awareness, and accountability in support of EHS programs.\nAssists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of EH&S programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.\nCompletes audits, IH sampling, ergonomic assessments, and assists in pollution prevention activities.\nInterfaces with regulatory representatives, senior management, the site EH&S Committee.\nAssists with the implementation of EHS management systems at the site level.\nAdditional roles and responsibilities may include:\nServes as liaison with regulatory agencies.\nProvides timely and accurate submission of necessary reports to the company and regulatory agencies.\nWrites and updates EHS plans and procedures.\nApplies for new permits and renewals.\nConducts compliance inspections and identifies actions necessary to meet regulatory requirements.\nCoordinates EHS training for employees and conducts instructor-led EHS training.\nOther duties as assigned\nIf this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience - OR - Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of professional experience. \nMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance\nU.S. citizen\nExperience with at least one of the two: 1) managing various EHS compliance programs (such as hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, air, occupational safety, etc.) based on the review and interpretation of EHS regulations; and/or 2) experience in completing industrial hygiene assessments and sampling.\nExcellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of an organization are a must.\nAbility to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources; consistently looking for novel ways to solve problems; mastering unfamiliar information, tasks and situations quickly and effectively.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster of Science (MS) degree in an environmental, health, and safety program of study, or currently enrolled in an M.S. degree program.\nCertifications in environmental or health & safety related programs.\nExperience with MRP systems and Microsoft SharePoint programs.\nComputer based skills specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point programs.\nOversight of third-party consultants/contractors.\nActive Top Secret clearance\nCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
